Pastel wooden blocks for stacking, building and small-world stories
Pastel Nordic Wooden Stacking & Small-World Blocks is a collection of seventeen different wooden-toy options rather than one fixed block set. Choices range from four houses or eight trees to castle pieces, ring towers, sailing boats, dinosaurs and larger village collections.
Children aged four and above can balance the pieces, arrange scenes, compare sizes and create small-world stories. Choose the exact theme and quantity needed; the lifestyle images combine pieces that are not included in every option.

Choose the right set
| Option group | Current choices | Buyer guidance |
|---|---|---|
| Mixed village sets | Set A, Set B, Green Set, Pastel Full Set and Rainbow Full Set | Choose these for combinations of scenery, houses, trees, figures or abstract building pieces. Compare the live thumbnail because each assortment differs. |
| Architecture and construction | Pastel Castle and DaVinci Arch | Pastel Castle uses architectural blocks; DaVinci Arch uses flat interlocking planks. They are not interchangeable formats. |
| Transport and history | Sailing Set and Dinosaurs Volcanos | The Sailing Set has boats, figures and fabric sails. The dinosaur set uses unpainted prehistoric figures and volcano forms. |
| Stacking towers | Pastel Tower and Rainbow Tower | Each is a central-peg ring stacker, not a box of village blocks. |
| Tree scenery | Unpaint Trees 8, Unpaint Trees 10, Pastel Trees 10 and Rainbow Trees 10 | Choose by quantity and finish. These options include trees only. |
| House scenery | Pastel House 4 and Crochet House 4 | Both contain four houses; crochet-roof houses include textile details that need additional inspection. |
Four core play themes
Forest and nature
Tree options come in unpainted, pastel and rainbow finishes with tiered, rounded, tapered and sculptural silhouettes.
Houses and architecture
Pastel houses, crocheted-roof houses, castle blocks and interlocking arch planks support village and structure building.
Animals and history
The dinosaur and volcano option provides unpainted prehistoric figures for supervised storytelling and scene arrangement.
Transportation
The Sailing Set includes wheeled wooden boats, small figures and fabric sails for pretend travel and water-themed stories.

Stacking and small-world play ideas
Order by height
Arrange trees or houses from shortest to tallest, then mix the order and compare the silhouettes again.
Build a balanced scene
Start with pieces that have wide flat bases and add narrower shapes only after the foundation is stable.
Create a village
Use houses, trees and peg figures from a mixed or full set to make roads, neighbourhoods and meeting places.
Try an engineering challenge
Use the DaVinci Arch planks or Pastel Castle blocks to test spans, gates, walls and repeating patterns.
Tell a themed story
Plan a sailing trip, dinosaur landscape or forest walk using the pieces confirmed in the selected option.
Sort by finish
Compare natural wood grain with pastel or rainbow finishes when more than one compatible scenery set is owned.

Pictured size examples
| Option | Pictured measurement | What to remember |
|---|---|---|
| Pastel Castle | Approximately 27 × 27 cm in its tray arrangement | This does not describe the size of the full village sets. |
| Pastel Tower / Rainbow Tower | Approximately 11 × 17 cm | The central-peg tower is a separate format from loose blocks. |
| Dinosaurs Volcanos | Individual pieces pictured at approximately 6–11 cm | Shapes and heights differ across dinosaurs and volcanoes. |
| Unpaint Trees 8 | Heights pictured from about 7–14.5 cm; bases around 3–3.5 cm | Do not apply these dimensions to the 10-tree sets. |
| Pastel House 4 | Approximately 5 × 5 cm footprints with different roof heights, including about 5 and 8 cm | The four houses are not identical in shape or height. |
| Crochet House 4 | Approximately 5 × 5 cm footprints; pictured heights include about 6.5 and 8.5 cm | Crocheted roofs add textile texture and may vary slightly in appearance. |

Care and storage
- Wipe wooden surfaces with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth.
- Do not soak the blocks or place them in a dishwasher, steriliser or washing machine.
- Dry every piece completely before returning it to a box, tray or fabric bag.
- Keep crochet roofs and fabric sails dry and inspect them for loose threads or lifting attachments.
- Avoid harsh cleaners, prolonged sunlight, high heat and damp storage.
- Store each set together and count small figures, trees, rings and architectural pieces after play.
Safety and age guidance
Supported age: 4 years and above. Keep all pieces away from children under three and follow the warning label supplied with the selected set.
Before play, inspect the wood for cracks, splinters, dents, sharp edges or lifting finish. Check peg figures, narrow tree trunks, central tower pegs, fabric sails and crochet roofs carefully.
Stop use if a textile thread loosens, a roof or sail separates or a wooden piece breaks. Do not glue or repaint damaged toys for continued child use.
Water-based and non-toxic paint are stated in the existing description, but supervision and regular inspection are still required. Do not use the sets as teethers or leave them in a cot or sleep space.
Frequently asked questions
Is this one fixed block set?
No. There are seventeen separate options. Select the exact theme and assortment before adding the product to the cart.
What age are the blocks for?
The supported description states ages four and above. This is more appropriate than the conflicting older toddler wording because several sets contain small or narrow pieces.
Which option contains the widest variety?
Pastel Full Set and Rainbow Full Set show the broadest mixes. Their palettes and exact scenery pieces differ, so compare the current thumbnails.
Do all options include houses and trees?
No. Tower, sailing, dinosaur, castle, arch and tree-only options have different contents. Only buy based on the selected option image.
What is the difference between Pastel House 4 and Crochet House 4?
Both are four-house selections. Pastel House 4 uses painted wooden roof forms, while Crochet House 4 has textile crocheted roof details.
Are the tree sets identical except for colour?
No. They differ by quantity and finish. There are eight- and ten-tree unpainted options plus ten-tree pastel and rainbow sets.
Are these Montessori toys?
They support open-ended, self-directed stacking and small-world play often used in Montessori-inspired environments, but they are not a complete Montessori curriculum.
Are the blocks suitable as nursery decor?
They can be displayed when not in use, but store them securely and keep small pieces out of reach of children below the supported age.
How should the blocks be cleaned?
Wipe them gently with a dry or slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not soak wood, crocheted roofs or fabric sails.
Are the exact piece counts confirmed?
Counts are explicit only in names such as Trees 8, Trees 10 and House 4. Do not infer a total count for mixed or full sets unless the delivered package confirms it.
Do all options come with a storage bag or tray?
No universal storage accessory is confirmed. Some images show boxes, a fabric bag or a castle tray, but these should be treated as option-specific.
